These terms cover your use of slussforsenate.org and the Jared for Alabama campaign text message program. How we handle the information you submit is described in our Privacy Policy.

Text message program

What the program is

Jared for Alabama sends campaign updates by text message to supporters who ask for them: news about the campaign, volunteer and event opportunities, and reminders about voting.

How you join

You join only by checking the text updates box on a form on this site and submitting it. The box is never checked for you. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of requesting a yard sign, sharing your story, volunteering, or donating, and messages are not sent for the purpose of soliciting a purchase.

How often we text

2–4 messages per month. Message frequency may vary, and typically increases close to an election.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message to leave the program. You will get one confirmation message and then no further texts. You can rejoin at any time by opting in again on this site.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. The campaign does not charge you for these messages, but your mobile carrier's standard rates for text messages and data apply as normal. Check your plan if you are unsure what those are.

Carriers and delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier's network and your device, and we cannot guarantee that every message arrives.

Your mobile number

We use your number to send the messages you opted in to and to contact you about what you asked us for. We do not sell it or share it with other campaigns, committees, or list brokers. If you change or give up your number, please reply STOP or let us know, so we do not text someone who did not opt in.

Using this website

You may read, share, and link to anything on this site. Campaign logos, photography, and other campaign materials remain the property of the campaign; press materials on our press page are provided for editorial use.

Please submit accurate information, and only submit an address you are entitled to place a yard sign at. We may decline or cancel a yard sign request, and signs are subject to availability.

The site is provided as-is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Contributions

Contributions are processed by ActBlue on ActBlue's own site, under ActBlue's terms and privacy policy. Contributions to a political campaign are not tax deductible.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes to the text message program will be communicated to program participants.
